jaren '20 van de twintigste eeuw was het Wachttoren Genootschap er van overtuigd dat de
wereld in 1925 zou eindigen. Een enorme campagne onder de naam "Millioenen nu
levende menschen zullen nimmer sterven" werd opgezet om dit "goede
nieuws" bekend te maken. Naast de brochure met dezelfde naam als de campagne, waarin dit luid verkondigd werd, zetten de Wachttoren leiders hun ideeën over "het paradijs" verder uiteen in het boek "The Way to Paradise", uitgegeven in 1924. Nu het paradijs zo dicht voor de deur stond, liet men de fantasie de vrije loop. Hoewel de Wachttoren ons vandaag de dag weet te melden dat de "Millioenen" brochure "juweeltjes van waarheid" bevatte (Jaarboek 1989, blz. 74), en dat de veldttocht "enorme afmetingen" aannam, waarmee een "groot getuigenis" werd gegeven" (Jaarboek 1976, blz. 126 - 27), ziet de werkelijkheid over de inhoud van deze "Millioenen"- veldtocht en het toenmalige "goede nieuws" er echter iets anders uit dan het Wachttoren genootschap nu wil doen voorkomen. Hieronder volgt een korte beschouwing van de kwaliteit van het "geestelijk voedsel te rechter tijd" afkomstig van "Gods organisatie" en de inhoud van "het goede nieuws" anno 1924 zoals dat te vinden is in het boek "The Way to Paradise", waarvan met name in het 11e hoofdstuk.
